Design: Metis by Mark Dorrian and Adrian Hawker
Quality: Highline 910 WT
Quantity: 168 m2
Showcasing seven projects by Metis ranging from installations to large urban restructuring proposals visitors have encountered a vast drawing on which they walked, carpeting the floor of the galleries. Through this, an internal terrain was inserted within the display space, which was then inhabited by glass displays tables that held detailed drawings and models.
Metis organised the documentation of the exhibited projects as an installation within a carpet surface measuring 16x10.5 m produced in collaboration with Ege Carpets.
Metis is an atelier for art, architecture and urbanism aiming at connecting architectural teaching, research and practice. They seek to produce rich, multilayered works and their approach the city in a poetic yet critical way that's sensitive to both its cultural memory and possible futures.
