The Highline Express concept: Arts & Crafts, Classic, Cultures, Essentials, Graphic & Nature

One of the collection’s visual themes brings new energy to the floor with methodical geometry, hoops, stripes, typography and 3-dimensional grids. In contrast, the other theme with mélanges and random abstracts takes your interior project in the opposite direction without compromising on the powerful graphic language. Thus, the collection covers many various design styles ranging from bold and dramatic to organic, fluid and distorted.

Architectural inspirations

Modern architecture has inspired to this collection and the graphic designs naturally relate to the lines and repetitions all-pervading in buildings. The overall look materialises from mere abstract patterns into an almost real physical existence. Just like building materials that add up to a complete piece of work, while seeming quite insignificant on an individual basis.

To create these visual effects, the collection plays with powerful colour contrasts as well as a tactile look originating from interesting textures and 3-dimensional effects.

6 colour themes

Highline Express Graphic is structured around 6 colour themes. In line with the trending love and fascination of honest and authentic building materials the colours present in the collection derive from concrete, wood, brickwork, metal, brass, glass and ceramics.

Inspired by the variation of brick colours, one colour theme shows a selection of warm red, terracotta, brownish and purple hues. All designs feature a very tactile and physical presence gained through embossed 3-dimensional effects and textured surfaces.

Another colour theme aspires to the gradient grey tones from concrete, glass and metal. And particularly to lights and shadows deriving from and in modern architecture itself.

The blues represent ceramic tiles, and above it all, the sky surrounding and somehow embracing architecture.

A balanced combination of blue, red and beige colour tones represents the sky, the brick walls and the wooden framework.

Graphic also holds a range of neutral beige and golden colors. Inspired by marble, wood and brass, these designs are bright and smooth with embedded symmetry and luxury textures as velvet. The patterns appear rhythmic with an almost musical ambience.

Finally, Graphic features a very bright multi-colour theme with colour contrasts. These powerful combinations stem from translucent glass and coloured building facades. Large colour blocking and vigorous lines and circles stress the energy.
